Sikhs Won Battle Against French Regime For Turban Ban at the UN
Sikhs have won their fight for wearing turban in France at the UN. The government of France has accepted that refusing a 76 years old Sikh for making his ID Card because he was wearing turban was a step taken towards hurting religious sentiments. They have apologized for their act and even told Ranjit Singh that he will get his residence card. The United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC) has expressed its support for a Sikh man in France in his battle to wear his turban.
